Ten safety rules for your first Gildae date
Excitement and caution can share a table. The checklist our safety team recommends to every member.
First dates should feel exciting, not risky. These are the habits our safety team recommends to every dreamer, papa and mama.
- Meet somewhere public and busy: a restaurant, a hotel lounge, a café.
- Get there and leave on your own. Don't accept a pick-up from home on a first date.
- Use share-my-date so a trusted friend knows where you are and who you're with.
- Keep chatting in the app until you're comfortable swapping numbers.
- Agree the arrangement before the date, not halfway through dinner.
- Never send money to someone you haven't met, for any reason.
- Never share bank logins, OTPs or ID documents with another member.
- Watch your drink and stay in control.
- Leave whenever you want. You never owe anyone your time.
- Report anything that feels off. A real person reviews every report.
Spotting scams
Real papas and mamas never ask dreamers for 'activation fees', gift cards or a small payment to 'prove trust'. Real dreamers never need you to pay a stranger's bill before meeting. If money is moving before you've met, stop and report it.
Gildae is for adults 18+. Arrangements are about relationships, companionship and mentorship, never paid sex.
